The documentary Her Sound Her Story
Mojo Juju is a singer, songwriter, storyteller and musician. Her third studio album, Native Tongue, was released this year and has received huge acclaim for its rawness, honesty, and emotion. Mojo made a name for herself on the Australian touring circuit in the late 2000s with her unique blend of soul, R&B, blues and hip hop. Through the telling of Mojo’s family history and personal experiences, Native Tongue explores her relationships with Elders and Ancestry and how that informs her own identity; contemplating her Mother’s Indigenous heritage, her Father’s experience as a Filipino immigrant and Mojo’s own place in the cultural landscape of modern Australia.
