Sisteria is a podcast about women’s experiences as creators & consumers of arts & culture.

Each episode, hosts Stephanie Van Schilt and Veronica Sullivan shine a spotlight on the work of a different Australian woman or non-binary creative via a longform interview, delving into how gender influences their creative practice and engagement with the arts. Our producer is the wonderful Jessica Lukjanow.

Submit your questions for our Arrogant Aunt segment – an exercise in overcoming imposter syndrome where we offer our listeners advice with a level of authority we don’t really believe we have – or let us know if there’s a topic or guest you’d love to hear us cover via email: sisteriapodcast@gmail.com.

Sisteria’s first season featured writers, comedians, performers, arts workers and editors, covering topics including mental health, motherhood, politics, sport and dating etiquette. Watch this space: Season two of Sisteria is on its way, supported by the City of Melbourne.

Sisteria is available via iTunes, SoundCloud, or however you get your podcasts. Chuck us a review if you have time, we’d really appreciate it.

Our theme music is “Last” by Rainbow Chan, from her album Spacings.

Sisteria is recorded at the Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre, Naarm, on the sovereign land of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge the true owners of the land, the Wurundjeri people, and pay respects to Indigenous elders past and present.
